Recording Engineers
Recording Engineers: Roy Kolb (left) and Ben Kolb (right)
Roy Kolb, Recording Engineer
Roy’s interest in recording began as a hobby in his youth, sending recordings of church services to foreign missionaries. He was thrilled to be asked to record for Sunday School Meditations beginning about 1959. Over the years, he has added to and updated the equipment in his home studio. He currently has a library of nearly 500 songs by various Sunday School Meditations groups, most of which were recorded in his studio. Roy and his wife, Alice, live on a dairy farm and milk processing plant near Spring City, PA.
Ben Kolb, Assistant Recording Engineer
Ben is Roy Kolb’s nephew, and has been assisting him in the recording studio since 1995. On several occasions, Ben has also provided and operated the sound equipment for our annual chicken Bar-B-Q fundraiser at Tel Hai. He is the sound room technician at his church. Ben and his wife, Karen, live near Spring City, PA, where he works in construction, since selling out of dairy farming several years ago.
